I really want to bake a lemon cake for shabbos, but I don't have a recipe.
I prefer a cake that does not include margarine or cake mix. Can anyone help?!
Thanks!

Lemon Delight Bundt Cake
2 1/2 c flour
1 1/2 c sugar
3t baking powder
3/4 c orange juice
3/4 c oil
2t lemon extract
4 eggs
Glaze:
1 1/2 c confectioners sugar
1/2 c lemon juice
Preheat oven to 325 & grease & flour bundt pan. Combine dry ingredients. Add liquids & beat 3-4 minutes. Bake for 45-50 minutes. When done, insert a skewer every 1". Pour 1/2 the glaze over so it seeps into the holes. When cool, turn it over & pour on the remaining glaze.

Thanks, this cake was a huge hit! But... I'm sure the glaze recipe is a typo, it should probably be more like 1/2 TBS. not cup.

I guess any pan will work. Bundt just looks prettier when turned over.
Stem - it IS 1/2 c lemon juice. It needs to be liquidy & have a rich lemon taste.

does anyone know if this recipe calls for three tablespoons of baking powder or teaspoons?

I would guess teaspoons, since a lower case t usually means teaspoons and an upper case T means tablespoons.

FYI, if you don't have/want a bundt pan, you can buy a foil bundt pan...looks just as nice and you can throw it out afterwards!

I finally made this cake for Shabbat. Amazingly easy and so good. I used freshed-squeezed juices. Yum

I don't have parve skewers so I used straws to make the holes.

So I made it today... can't tell you how it tastes yet, but here's what mine looks like. And yes, I know it's 'just' a tube pan. I don't actually have a bundt pan.
