how in heaven's name do you get rid of that static cling?
whatever I touch gets electrocuted including my husband
our linen was just changed and I heard so much electric waves.
I've tried static guard, water, rubbing bounce on the inside of my skirt.
nothing works.
any other tips?

I think I heard vinegar in the rinse cycle helps a lot.

humidify the house. get rid of carpets.touch something metal before you touch someone else. avoid shocking yourself by holding something like a key in your hand and touching that to something metal. lightly rub hand lotion on your pantyhose and the inside of your slip after you put them on--the cheap watery kind of lotion, not the thick rich kind. reapply as necessary.

Asking the obvious - are you using the full amount of fabric softener in the rinse cycle, or a sheet in the dryer?

oh, that reminds me--air dry, don't machine dry.

I think machine drying is better. I air dry almost everything, but the static clean is abominable!
I started putting even those things in the dryer for 10 or 20 minutes.
