I’m married with one baby bh
I’m looking for a job and my biggest regret is not going to college straight out of hs. All the well paying and part time jobs need a degree
If I were to go to college now, what field would you recommend?

I have no idea. That’s why I didn’t go in the first place, I didn’t want to waste money in case it turned out I didn’t like it

Probably your best bet would be to meet a career counselor to help figure out your skills, aptitudes, etc and narrow down the types of jobs that best match those, and then go for a degree of certification in one of those areas.

Try out some CLEPs to get your gen eds and see what you are interested in. Much cheaper than a CC, you just need the motivation to study alone.

Don't run to get a degree if you still don't know what you would be interested in.
Read up about different positions, listen to podcasts, search career coaches online and see what they are talking about.
Hopefully you can get an idea of differentcareers that might interest you.
Once you have that idea, you can make strides in that direction- it might even be that you don't need a degree.
bH these days there are opportunities in careers that don't require an advanced education.
Still, if you realize that you are more interested in a field that does require a degree you can take it from there.
(degree is needed for all forms of therapists, healthcare professionals, accountants, but NOT for bookkeepers, office managers, sales professionals...) there are a lot of options in the workforce

Ot, pt, speech therapy or if you're more of a math/science person I'd suggest computers or accounting.

I would add that you should speak to real life people to find out what their job is really about, opportunities, pay etc. And if possible try it out for a day or two, or watch someone who does this job in action.

Think about the work like balance, hours, and income you want and then look for industries where those are achievable

So I need something part time and flexible hours. Those are very important to me.
I also like interacting with people. I don’t enjoy sitting at a computer, it’s very isolating and lonely but nothing too social either bec than I get burnt out
Nursing sounds like a good option. I will look into it

Hospital Nursing is a very exhausting job.
Maybe special ed or ABA or social worker.

Nursing jobs vary extraordinarily. There are PT, FT jobs, WFH jobs. hospital jobs, office jobs, freelancing(to a degree)
There are so many things besides hospital jobs out there for registered nurses
