I’m just wondering if anyone here has experience with a 150 cm long bathtub?
do you have experience taking baths in it yourself? what it is the experience like? and for reference if you don’t mind—how tall are you?
I’m deciding whether to insist on a longer (standard sized) one even though the footprint will mess up the floor plan a little. I welcome any input.
TIA!

I have 140
I'm 5"6.
I like it, I cant lie flat but still find relaxing.. Best to get a deeper bath and if you can with a bath/jacuzzi pillow...

thank you! I really appreciate your sharing.
I am used to laying pretty flat in a bathtub but I am only 5 ft tall...
is your tub extra deep?

My husband requested it when we did our bathroom so I put it in. I slightly dislike it because I can't lie flat in it, but when I'm sitting, my feet don't touch the end so I kind of slide around (I'm 5'3"). My husband really likes it though (once a year when he's sick and wants a bath). Overall I'm happy we did it.

I suggest you go to a good bath supply store and get in various tubs.
Tubs also differ in terms of slope and that impacts comfort level.

I have a 170 in my house and in the summer a 150.
I am around 15 cm or so taller than you.
If the tub is deep I think I might prefer the 150. If its shallow, then I need the 170.

I actually tried out someone’s 150 cm tub. but without water in it, it was hard for me to tell.

that is really interesting. makes sense…
I know at one point I had a tub that was a standard length but extra deep (may have been extra wide too, I don’t remember) and I hated it!!! I couldn’t brace myself against anything to get comfortable. I actually paid a bunch of money to switch it out.

ha ha. the jokes on me. apparently, it seems that the tub in my current home (rental) is 150 cm long. I never thought to measure it. it always seemed normal to me... It seems I am fine with that length!
