This morning, I was rushing out of the house. I hadn't held my babies in two days and had barely seen my older son. As I left, none of them seemed to notice, so I didn't insist on that goodbye snuggle, wanting to maintain the status quo (no crying). As I walked out of the house, I thought wistfully about how much I wished I had taken the time to hug them, kiss them, and tell them that I love them so much. About to rush off to the train, I walked straight into the largest spider web I have ever seen. Needless to say, it got stuck all over me. I was trapped. Just kidding. But it was gross. So I went back into the house to wash off the web. This time, as I left, all the kids piped up. And I got my snuggles after all. Thank heaven for that spider!
