Hi all+
Please help! I would like to use black mulch. I was told it was toxic. Any ideas?

All mulch, other than "natural" is dyed. So it's toxic, true. So I wouldn't eat it obviously. And I wouldn't use it around stuff I'm growing for food (fruit trees and such). But for basic landscaping, and you're not going to be rolling around in it, it's probably fine.

They sell untreated mulch. Its hard to find in big cities. If you are using for pretty plants, it doesnt matter but if its for food, I would try to find untreated.
