It is the first Yaarzeit for my dear father Z"L soon.
I would like to do something in his memory, not a Gemach. Do you think any of the following are good ideas.
1. To ask a Rabbi or a knowledgeable lady to go through the Tehillim by talking about each chapter and explaining the meaning.
2. To ask members of a community to write down any question on any jewish topic of interest in advance that they would like discussed and pay a respected person in the community (not always the same one) to answer and discuss the questions. My thoughts would be that those participating can discuss the subject and ask live questions during the talk so it would not be a shiur more a discussion.
3. To send a regular package of gifts to children where their home life is difficult and the kids
miss out on normal family life, consisting of a small toy item like lego, nice food items, quiz books etc.
4. Also for children who have a difficult home life but this time to train some volunteers how to be a good big brother, big sister/ mentor for these children.
Any thoughts or do you have a different idea that I could do.
Thank you

I gave a shalosh seudos in shul and had the dvar Torah dedicated li’n my father, and also made a donation to Misaskim, the most wonderful organization, may none of us ever need them again.
