I am making sole with mayonaise and onion soup mix for supper tonite- I need a side dish to go next to it. I am sick of the regular- rice, mashed potatoes, corn etc.

They say “rice and fish together makes a whole protein” so that’s the healthiest to stick with . . . that said, what about hot potato salad? Flavored couscous mix? Steamed carrots with ginger and honey? Green salad? Zucchini steamed with mushrooms and some tomato sauce?

my mother used to serve baked potato with fish...has the added advantage of being easy
corn on the cob? (or did you say no corn?)
zuchini in buttery sauce with bread crumbs
Stir fried vegetables (with soy sauce)
soup (always my favorite)
I like CM's couscous idea as a change from rice. If you can find whole wheat couscous, that's great...
If you are tired of regular rice, why not try wild rice?

wild rice is expensive, and potatoes take a whole hour in the oven. I think they're too nice for a regular dinner; I'd only have them for a treat.
what about lookin on website for veggie recipes,. or perusing your frozen aisle at the store?
