My dd and her friend, from America, will be staying by a young couple in E"Y for several days. They have a 4 mo. girl. (the couple, that is!)
What do you suggest they take as a gift?
The couple were well "set up" when married, so I ws thinking of something (a toy?) for the baby.
Any ideas?

A toy for the baby would be great, but I would get something for the future a bit. Maybe a small little people set? They are very expensive here and loved by toddlers all over LOL.

funny I was also going to say little people set--either the car, bus airplane.
My kids love them (starting at abt a yr) but they are so expensive here

Israeli mum here who is always hosting ppl. I most app when ppl bring gifts for my kids - my kids have quite an impressive collection all built up from gifts. A duplo set is nice and something small such as choc for the adults.

My DS is one month old, but I absolutely LOVE it when Shabbos guests bring him infant toys and outfits - much better than wine as a gift, which we have PLENTY of. I wouldn't go with toddler toys or clothing - stick to things that will work within a year, I'd say.
