We used the same (boy) babysitter for the last 2-3 years on a regular basis. Lovely guy, kids like him and he's been really good (eg, when kid vommitted or woke up after nightmare).
He is going to Yeshiva in Ellul and I would like to buy him something from us (as a family).
Anyone got ideas? Not too personal, but something that he should know how much we appreciated him.
Thanks

An MP3 player? One without radio if that's what kind of family he's from. There are mp3 players in all price ranges. And if he has one, which he probably does, what about a gift card to a Jewish Music store?

Music CDs. Of if you are worried about not knowing which ones he has - a gift certificate to a judaica store.

the mp3 idea is nice - but only if he's not from a community that discourages them.

If his community/family doesn't ban them, chances are likely he may already has a MP3 player. More likely he may have a mobile phone or iPod or something else. And if he uses MP3 or other gadgets, CD won't work, not to mention OP may not be familiar with what teenage boys like to listen. You can instead give him a pre-paid card like iPod store where he can purchase music for downloading. Otherwise pre-paid cards for clothing stores? We give our nephews cards for American Eagle or TJMaxx.
