If you made this using liquid sugar, would you use same amount, a whole cup? Or is that way sweeter than 1 cup of regular sugar?

You need to boil one cup of sugar and see how much that comes out to. Then write it down somewhere and use that as your conversion for all your recipes.

Did anyone try baking these in a betty crocker or on a hot plate?

I don't think it'll work on a hot plate because it's not hot enough. The Betty crocker might be too hot so if you want to try it I would put down parchment paper and watch it very carefully.

If you know how to store these ground-nut cookies, please reply. Tightly covered? In a paper bag? What has been your experience?

I put them in a Ziploc bag in the freezer until I need them. If I leave them on the counter they'll be gone within 5 seconds.

Diametrically opposing answers LOL

Both have merit, but the second answer is, um, let's call it, more insightful Yes

Can you use almond flour for the ground almonds? I'm assuming ground is a coarser texture. We have an allergy to nuts other than almonds, I was able to find almond flour that is pure but not ground almonds - the ground all have warnings that they're processed with other nuts.

I’ve used it for years. The Costco one. (And I add chocolate chips).
