This week in BP I saw a school bus driving with the toddlers sitting unrestrained on the stairs right behind the door. Knowledge and concern for child health and safety is not equal in all communities, unfortunately. This is true both in and out of Jewish communities, for what it's worth. Don't get me started on it being the norm for children to not follow any road safety and dart into the street when cars are coming.
