My dh has colitis, also using biologics. He has a temper from his parents. He’s in therapy for it. When he’s stresssed out about anything- parnossah, health, whatever- he is harsh on the kids. But so am I when I’m stressed out from lack of sleep or anything else. We’re working on it in therapy.

This is NONSENSE | Researchers and doctors know more than you do, and they say there is definitely a connection, so I’ll listen to them, thanks.

Being in pain or not feeling well can cause anyone to have less patience, be more irritable,etc. that doesn’t excuse abuse or make it a direct connection.

As someone with crohn's who is married to someone with colitis, and having done a lot of research on ibd, I would like to reiterate what a few posters mentioned:
OP, please try to get your husband to optimize his medications so that he doesn't flare. There are many biologics that treat crohn's-they are the most effective way to reduce flares and induce remission. And it's not enough to just take the medicine, he needs to be in touch regularly with his DR to assess if the drug is working and adjust the dosing and running accordingly. Please, please do this!
It's important for his health too!
