its hard to wear nice clothes, I like to feel like Im on vacation and dressing casual. I usually end up wearing, work clothes or at least no denim.

I don't have a problem. I work full time in an office, so we're always well dressed.

Well, since I'm 8 months pregnant, this time around I'm wearing whatever fits.

How is that not a problem? Being well-dressed doesn't make what you wear bigdei Yom Tov.

That's great. What does that have to do with bigdei Yom Tov?

Just practically speaking, who has 9 Shabbos/Tov outfits? Right now I'm struggling with 3 and wondering how I will ever keep them clean from the first days to the second days with little kids who have greasy dirty hands. I don't have that many wearable clothes in general at the moment (I do laundry very frequently), and am really worried how I will be able to be clean and presentable throughout the whole Yom Tov.

dd does have enough nicer things but ds he has more casual shabbos clothes, a nice button down shirt or polo shirt, he ruins his white shirts very easily. I guess he will wear nicer weekday clothes

What does bigdei Shabbos/Yom Tov mean to you?
To me (and halacha) it means (better) clothing set aside for those days.

I know that. I'm not sure why you're asking me that.
As I said, I dress well every day - probably in better clothes than some wear on a regular Shabbos, as I wear a blouse or twinset everyday, with pumps.
On Chol Hamoed & Rosh Chodesh, I dress better. I generally wear an older Shabbos outfit to work, or a good every day outfit. I dress this way when I have Torah Bites or a bris or other occasion, too.
Is that what you meant?

I wear dressy work clothes -- usually a suit -- if I'm going out. We usually have guests in the evening during Chol Hamoed, and I usually end up in my trusty black velour skirt and a heavyweight blouse of some kind. But if I'm working around the house, "fuggedaboudit".

I get my new shabbos robes erev Pesach and erev Rosh Hashono so I have new ones, the older ones can be for chol hamoed. As for outside clothes, if around the neighborhood then nice clothes, if traveling then less nice but at least a necklace or pretty scarf to remind that it is moed.
Laundry - not an option this year, with a son in the army who comes home for 24 hours after two weeks and needs his underwear and uniform done, his laundry gets done!

I try to have the kids wear a white shirt with decent pants/skirt, and I do the same.
