If it's closed, I would like to join.

I feel similarly to what SuperJew described and I would feel more comfortable in a closed group rather than putting my feelings "out there".

In the meantime, I'm going to commit my words to http://www.penzu.com about spacing out and if the group gets the ok to be closed, I'll bring in my piece.

Wow! Lady godiva that's amazing! I wrote one myself but it isn't my best... But here goes:
Spacing out, its what we all do
Or at least wish to do because that would mean
we have some quiet time on our hands.
Day dreaming letting our mind wander.
Letting our mind imagine.
Imagination is different by every one
One can space out with just thoughts
And others with images flying by
And even others with a blank stare & blank mind

Which one are you?
I'd say I'm the space out who sees dreams fly by
Or maybe that's called a day dreamer
I'm very much both I guess as I like to blank it all out too.

Seeing black feeling black and thinking black
Its so quiet and peaceful
No worries no thoughts no fears
Its an escape for just those few moments
Even when in the busiest of places
Blank.
I think I just had one of those for a moment.

I really enjoyed reading those two poems.

I'd like to join, though maybe a closed forum would be a little less intimidating since I'm not yet secure of my writing.

Also, I'm more of a story person, haven't written poetry since my dark and confused teenage years:

I feel happy, I feel sad.
I feel good, I feel bad.
I feel joy, I feel pain.
I feel I can't go through all this again.

Can I join? I write poetry all the time. I wrote a novel that has not yet been published. My best poem has been printed in 2 magazines (Spirit! and Our Tapesrtry). I haven't tried to publish any others, except for a couple that are in my novel.
