Technically 3. I just got a new (pretty inexpensive one) for work. One for shabbat, and one shmatta ten year old one which I put hair in twice and dyed but is only fit for rain at this point which I am in the process of retiring. These three were all human but out of the box.
A far cry from the expensive customs which I bought myself as a Kallah and when my expenses were less.

A black one, to match my black clothes for midnight burglaries
Seriously though, I would add to the question: do you also wear hats/tichels/scarves, etc. After a while it hit me that I'm much more comfortable wearing a hat, like my oversized caps, to a dr's appointment. (Though a dear relative of mine did wear a sheitel everywhere, including labor and delivery.)

I wear tichels/scarves and bandanas when it's very hot outside.

I have 3: 1 very good wuality fall which I wear every day, 1 milano full shaitel which I often wear with a band, try to keep it for shabbos and occasions. and 1 full fake hair one I hate and want to get rid of, which I never wear. my next purchase will be a pony shaitel

I have 4. a pony, a band fall, and 2 fulls. but to my defense, one of them was free, and even the ones I paid for were much less than most people spend on wigs.
in general, I'd rather have many cheap things than one expensive one.

1-short sheitel that was expensive (but now about 8 years old)
2-long cheap one (at least 6/7 years old)
3-hat fall( 5 years old)
I hardly ever wear the real sheitels. They are both badly in need of a wash/set.

I have several, some in use, some put away which I got on sale.
A band fall that I wear every day, a short sheitl made out of my old band fall which one can pull bangs out of that I wear during the summer, two shoulder length full ones made out of band falls where the sheitlmacher pulled out bangs (I like the cap of the bandfall, hate the feeling of something on my hairline) - one that I just got for Rosh Hashana and one from a year ago, and a bandfall put away which I got on sale. Oh yes, I also have a full which wasn't a band fall that I got a few years ago and I wear only on occasions.
The joy of the shoulder and below bandfalls is that when they get ratty after two years of full time daily use I get the sheitlmacher to pull out bangs, but it short and I have a new short sheitl. Each one of the bandfalls or sheitls cost no more than $300-$400. I had a custom once from many years ago and it was awful! the hair was terrible and it wasn't worth a tenth of what I paid. Better the ones I have now.

1- Shabbos one, that I don't love, but it's longer and "prettier" I also wear it to chasunahs and other "fancy" occasions.
1 - every day - shorter and layered - for work. it's 7 years old and has had several "adjustments" made, but I don't think it's going to last too much longer.
1 - other. This is my most favorite sheital, with the nicest hair, but it's 10 years old and really starting to show its age. I just can't seem to get rid of it though. If I buy another sheital, it'll be like this one. I wear it chol hamoed or on shabbos/occasions when I don't want to wear my shabbos one or my shabbos one needs washing/setting. If this one weren't on its last legs, I'd wear it everyday to work.

Apparantly all of mine were for the purpose of making me look and feel ridiculous. Ladies, we look so much more authentic and realistic and naturally Jewishly beautiful with scarves and snoods.
