gee, I donno--we went to a wedding in Heimish country last year and the color du jour was chocolate brown. Chocolate brown is even less flattering to many people than black is!

When I worked at a Sunday school, my co-teacher told me that a student of hers asked her if she was religious.
She was rather surprised, because she would have thought he could assume that his Morah in Hebrew school was religious. She told him she was religious, and asked him why he had thought otherwise.
He told her, "Because you aren't wearing a black skirt- your skirt is tan!"
