Salad from Kraft magazine with greens and mixed canned fruit
Chicken thighs - I don't know what kind of sauce yet
Elbow noodle salad with peppers instead of kugel
S'more pie for dessert if I get around to it

BTW, Defy, I started making your chicken cutlets baked in the oven with mayo and crumbs, and putting fried onions on top, and it's a total HIT! I made it on Pesach with Matzo meal(not as crunchy as cornflake crumbs) and my in laws loved it!

What's sparlic?
We're having a traditional meal, as usual, except no potato kugel because I can't find kugel potatoes at the supermarket:
Homemade challah
gefilte fish/chrain/mayo
chicken soup...but no noodles, because I just realized I forgot to buy any, unless I make it to the supermarket tomorrow.
roasted chicken
takeout yerushalmi kugel
chickpea salad
chocolate mousse, courtesy of my mother in law
Day:
A) First seudah (at 10.00, when my husband comes home from shul):
Homemade challah
cholent
homemade kishke
yerushalmi kugel
B) Second seudah, a.k.a. shaloshudes (at around 2.30 or 3.00):
Homemade challah
gefilte fish
egg salad
cucumber salad
cold cuts
potato salad
chickpea salad
blueberry cake or fresh fruit

CATEGORY: DIP
SPARSLIC from Shmuel & Sara Weinstein’s cookbook from their Chabad house on campus In Pittsburgh
Sparslic - A Great Garlic Dip
1 pod fresh garlic (12 large cloves)
3/4 cup oil (canola or olive)
1/2 cup dried parsley
1/2 tsp salt
(This recipe only works with fresh garlic.)
Peel and chop garlic in food processor or garlic press. Combine with remaining ingredients before serving. Enjoy.
Great dip for bread or crackers and you can use the leftovers for garlic bread. You can also use it as a spice on salad, potatoes, on fish, etc.

Actually, I always make it with fresh garlic. Good to know dry will also work when I don't have fresh around the house.
I don't measure...just equal parts crushed garlic and chopped, fresh parlsey. Lots of olive oil to make it "dipable" and salt to bring out the flavors.
It's a great dip for challah...especially warm challah from the blech! It also tastes great mixed in a little chumus.

Sarahd -- just curious -- what are "kugel potatoes" ?
Idaho russett ?
Also, do you rinse and drain your grated potatoes
before mixing them in with the other ingredients ?

They would be if I lived in America. Here in Europe you can't get Idaho potatoes, but there are what they call "floury" potatoes which are a fine substitute. Except that they are currently not available at my supermarket and the chain that carries them recently closed their branch in my neighborhood.

Nope. Why do you ask?
