Well it seem prudent to distance yourself at least publicly from such a person.
What does it say that she not only doesn't distance herself but expresses her love to her? She knows exactly what type of content Candace is putting out now.

As it is now, the entire mindset on X has switched from left to right. The only thing that has remained unchanged, is the anti Israel sentiment. I guess Elon Musk is fine with that narrative. |
Maybe I need to open a spinoff about Twitter. It's such a cesspool, all the free speech with zero responsibility that comes with freedom and privilege. There are zero safeguards.

For some reason I never cared too much for brett. Maybe because she has a lot of arrogance.
Definitely not happy with brett and candace friendship

I'm fine with an American having a neutral or even an a bit of an isolationist stance, even if I disagree. But Candace is a whole other ballgame. |
Brett and Candace are close friends. Brett has said before that Candace is like an older sister to her.
I'm kinda bummed about it. Rumors on X are saying that she left over Candace's treatment by DW. And it's sad all around because her producer Regan is her BFF and was her maid of honor just a few months ago.
Otoh, she just got married and moved into a working farm that she wants to expand and homestead, and she's been very clear that she wants to start a family sooner rather than later.

I worry about the same. Michael Knowles is Candace's husbands close friend. He's even the godfather of one of her kids. He's never spoke in support of Israel, other than some glib fast talk about terrorists and islam. And he's very devour as a Catholic and misrepresented netanyahu's take on Syria in his show today.

I feel like if that would be the reason she wouldve left a while ago. she never said a peep abt it and it happened ages ago. unless her contract was ending now so she just didnt renew...
dunno.
I also quirked an eyebrow at her response to candace on twitter cause I havent seen them interact online at all since candace left dw, but I dont necessarily think her responding means she has the same views as candace.

I wonder if she wasn't allowed to publicly interact with her. The split with Candace was pretty messy.

I guess it should be a strong lesson for Jews who think we are aligned with Christians.
When Ben Shapiro started out he soared to success because Christians felt thrilled to have an articulate right winger on their side. As time went on Daily Wire became an official mouthpiece for Christian values. As it is now, Ben Shapiro has become the most hated person from his own company by their listeners. There’s currently equal amounts of antisemitism coming from the left AND right directed toward him.
Let. This. Be. A. Lesson.

IIRC Michael did make some statement about being friends with both and not picking a side.

Agree
It’s not good when Jews get too close to or too dependent on either side
We should not be idolizing these people or thinking they are our friends
With the exception of a few truly righteous gentiles (Douglas Murray, shoutout) , we need to be wary.

Historically, things tend to get pretty ugly when we're caught between left-right power struggles.

Today Candace Owen’s posted that she was making a personal announcement and the most important content of her career with a special guest. On Twitter people were speculating that it was going to be a Brett Candace collaboration. It is not. She dove right into a dramatic letter detailing from a former uss liberty veteran about how Israel “slaughtered” American military and how it’s beeen a huge coverup in defense of Israel. The woman is a vile vile dripping antisemite. She is obsessed with hating Israel and painting us as evil deviant conniving people. I do think she’s a wacko but honestly she’s gaining more and more of a following and I’m worried

Andrew Klavan did an open rebuttal to her "X is king" business, in a video called "because X really is king". (X being used instead of ch--t.) I didn't watch because I don't want to intake the xian preaching, but Candace took it very personally and has made several snide comments/memes about it, attacking him for being Jewish. Which goes to show.
Michael did a little piece on his show where he said he's very close with her and her husband and also with the other hosts, and that he's not going to speak further on it.
Walsh never addressed it, I don't think. Neither did Brett.
Ben and Candace went back and forth a bit on Twitter/X and almost agreed to a debate but that was shut down by DW's legal team. (According to candace. Ben has never said another word about it.)

Huge loss for DW
She brought in so many subscribers and really filled a niche. I think so many semi-conservative young women listened to her and felt her take on the news resonated with them (she’s not too right wing) and especially because it was coming from a young woman. There really is no one else who did what she did besides for Amala (whose also great!)
My guess is that she probably realized how much she is worth to them, and tried to negotiate for more, and failed.
Jeremey Boering (the CEO) seems to be kind of weird and self obsessed (why does he call himself the King) and I wonder if he just felt like they don’t need Brett, but I think they really do and will feel this.

Tbh she has made me more conservative over the last 3 years. I used to be more middle of the road but resonated so much with what she said. Now I love amala and tend to watch her more, but I still credit Brett for getting me into politics and turning me more right wing.
