I sell wigs and only take cash because:
1. credit card fees are hefty and I’ve had more than a few customers dispute the charge for no reason at all
2. Checks bounce and then the client blocks you and not only are you out of the money you’re also responsible for all the bank fees.
3. Zelle- Not accepted for the reason someone else posted above
Obviously exceptions are made here and there for specific circumstances. And yes I pay taxes even on the cash purchases
