Those who says ice machine, don't you have an ice machine in the freezer? Just asking...

I don't have specific ideas but some thoughts

If this is a gift that you wish to cherish in some way and have a strong association with your grandparents, think of something that is special to them and link it in.

Eg if challah baking or making delicious baked goods is their thing and you want to carry that on (or do already) then something durable eg high end mixer

If shabbos is important- new shabbos set eg challah board, lichter tray, tablecloths, benchers, zemiros books

If something that you would like them to see the children enjoying - an outside rocker/bench swing, or garden furniture that will last years

Could be a house decor eg painting or special lamp /chair, something that makes your home warm and cosy and welcoming if that is their vibe

If music - a keyboard or sound system if you would enjoy that as a family.

I would not go for electronics primarily because they have a v short life span eg robot cleaner, ice maker etc which will only last a couple of years and not 'spark joy'. But I hear that for some people a freezer would be great. In my area you can get a second hand freezer giveaway on groups for the cost of transportation so wouldn't be a gifted item.
