I think it has to be clear that the cost of a wedding is not just the wedding night, it's the lead up and entire Affair including setting up the apartment, etc.

Wow, I got married 14 years ago and had very average standard wedding in Williamsburg. (Non-tekunas but nothing fancy by all most standards) my father is meticulous in his bookkeeping and every wedding related transaction was recorded starting from the vort all the way till after shabbos sheva brochos. The cost per side was $75k.

I cant imagine how much more an exact replica of my wedding would cost these days.

Think… $2k for my most expensive sheitel compared to what my wedding wig would cost today… one man band, singer, flowers and literally everything is way more expensive

Wow. Thank you all for the replies. I see that it's much more than I thought. If people have more numbers and breakdowns then I would like to see more. Also if you could post location would be a help.
