That's not so bad, a one off foot in mouth situation, plus you felt bad after, so it's not like you make a habit of it.
It;s humble bragging that horrible, it's (usually) planned and manipulative. Like 'the phone rings non stop for my dd, I feel like her secretary when her friends constantly call to invite/shmooze/want to come over. I haven't got time in the supper homework bedtime hours!'
Or this one: 'It's so hard that my son is never around to help me Erev pesach. I'm desparate for help but he loves learning, always has his nose in a sefer, so I'm really not managing'.
