I don't know how to answer the poll. In our family, costumes don't match what we give, but I do spend some time thinking about my accompanying notes or poems. Sometimes, those are high effort, like the year I did a literary theme, told the Purim story entirely with quotes from classic English literature, and put in foods with every letter of alphabet in Hebrew and English.

This year was a low effort, with a limerick about this Purim being bittersweet (I'll share on request), and some dark chocolate and some sparkling grape juice.
