Is she already 16? What grade will she be in this coming year? Seems like she may be staff age already. Traveling camp may be a better option if she wants to be a camper.

Have you looked into Ohr Chedvah? Girls are from Monsey, Brooklyn, Passaic and 5 towns. It’s a nice BY style camp

OP:

You still havent told us what grade she is entering.

So we assume she is entering grade 11 and will be 17 plus by next summer.

If so, then next year there wouldnt be any campus based camps that still have a bunk for entering grade 12.

That age is already staff.

But there are some nice traveling camps that should fit the bill and are for that age (might not be a full month though, prob more of a 10-14 day excursion).

Anyone have an idea of those and can chime in?

PS: if she is entering grade 10 now then many camps have a teen program for girls going into grade 11 and would be appropriate for next summer. Such as Chayil (Bnos’ teen camp) etc…

Try the camp that is in Indiana. I think it’s called ma’arava. Can someone chime in with the correct name and ages ?

Bnos Maarava (referred to commonly as Maarava) under the umbrella of Agudah of Illinois. Oldest grade is TC which is the teen camp for girls the summer after 10th grade. It may be a bit tough for a new camper to get a slot.

Does anyone have any idea what types go to Raninu, Tehilla and Sviva? What types of girls? and families? Easy to get into? ...?

Raninu is a lot of 5 Towns girls, so tends to be a bit of a nicer crowd and open minded with a BY lean.
Tehilla is yeshivish BY camp. Has a low key feel, a girl from OOT would be comfortable there but it's also plenty of girls from NY/NJ area.
Is she currently going into 11th or will be next summer because coming out of 11th is working age in camp and not the most typical age to first start going to camp and I think would be difficult without knowing anyone.

Are you serious? My very yeshivish good friend's daughter is there this year. Regular frum spunky Lakewood girl.

Ok so she doesn’t know.
It’s not a typical camp for a good BY girl. That’s just the facts.
