This is DS who's Upshern was 6 months ago. We took a picture of him in this outfit a week before at the Picture People but I don't have it online. It was stunning!!!!

Gamzu, I'm an expert at getting the window shades, ceilings, floor tiles, etc. minus any trace of human life! Not everybody has what it takes to take a good shot.

I don't know, unless you take really bad pictures, you can take them yourself. No need to shell out absurd amounts for a photographer.
Well I take really bad pictures, plus SM never poses for me. I want those once-in-a-lifetime professional pics of that gorgeous hair!!!

Okay, Mama Bear, you have the right info. I did our pics at Weiss. The reason why I went there, even though I heard that Azrylewitz is also terrific, is because a neighbor brought out her pictures that were taken at Weiss and when I looked at them I said that I didn't need to research any further, and I instantly scheduled our appt. with Weiss. She is somewhat more expensive than Azrylewitz, and Azrylewitz also does stunning work. I have seen somebody's photos lately and they were done at Azry.
The problem with these photographers is that they charge you per picture that you are taking, but they shoot so many poses and then when you need to choose you just can't say 'no'; each shot is so stunning and if you say that word 'no' then the photographer just hits 'delete' and the photo is gone forever. I bought a lot more than I had originally planned, but I have no regrets now.
I had a very interesting hashgacha pratis story with the photos fee. If anybody wants to hear about it, lemme know....
than you DOwn's. thanks to your recommendation I am keeping my appt. with Wise Snap, and I'm going to budget some money from my ebay earnings for extra pics.

Hmmm now I'm confused. I already have an appt with Weiss but by Weiss, for $100 I have 7 pics and by Azrylewitz for $90 I have 10 pics, or for $65, 8 pics. Is Weiss really that much better than Azrylewitz? I"m willing to spend the money if it's worth that much. have you seen Azrylewitz's pics too?

just curious the way they work their pricing....for $100 she gives u 7 pictures??...wat sizes and do u get to choose from dif. poses...same with the the one for $90...thanx...

Btw, I went with ds and his 5 cousins to JCPenny for the first time ever (I still feel bad for not doing it sooner) and you can get a coupon in the newspaper for $3.99/sheet which is either a 8x10 or 2-5x7 etc...

I live bet. 13 and 14th and 50th....iy"h plan on moving into a studio in the same area
as for buying a camera...its alot more then that...camera, lighting, backdrops, props, a good computer....and some more!!!...it also takes alot of time..taking the pic and then hours of photo editing!!...so make sure u really want to do it b4 u buy the camera!!
besides for upsherin people like to do yearly pictures or just once in a while for the family. also I will be iy"h doing them upstate in the summer, most people like having summer pictures
