We have a pet rabbit living on our deck which is a full story off the ground and deck door to stairs is closed off. It lives in its own 2 story rabbit house shelter with a real shingled roof. He gets locked into his house when it gets dark out and it’s fully stocked with water, food and hay. He seems happy and have never had an issue with any other predator type of animals coming onto our porch. This is in NY.

He stays there in the 17 degree winter weather?

We wired a lizard lamp heater into our guinea pigs cage to keep them warm in the winter. They stay outside all year.
