what excellent tips, thanks for sharing (referring to: above posters)
Will begin putting dryer sheets and bars of soap in my clothing bins.
Can I put regular bars of soaps, collected from various hotels?

I use airtight bags, that you use a vacuume to suck the air from, this way they are very flat and compact.

yes. if you're nervous about it, leave the soap wrapped in paper or use only white bars. I have never had a problem with any kind of soap, any color, but I usually leave the paper on until the soap has dried out. Sometime if soap is too fresh it's sort of wet, and if it's colored, I wouldn't trust it till it dried.

Pesach time I go through all the stored clothing and kids clotihing and throw out all the worn out cloths, stained, and clothing that I don't put on my kids (get them for presents). I get rid of the clutter and the used out clothing that were worn from you to the other after three girls things start to fade out badly. So what I did with my last girl I rewent shopping for the basics that I didn't have like more socks, undershirts and some shirts but not to many.
I used to have a whole room stocked with stored clothing until I started to clean out a little bit. Now I have one closet filled with all my kids clothing in boxes. Each month I have another box for like 0-3 etc. and for the older ones it goes by size but not by seasons to many more boxes to have around for no reason.
As for garbage bags I used to store everything in garbage bags but when I need something they use to rip on me. Boxes is the best bet you can open and close them easly.

I have SO MANY of those plastic boxes in my basement! Twice a year, I go through all the boxes, and try to eyeball what will fit whom.

doesn't that get a bit expensive to keep buying for all your kids??? I would go bankrupt if I would do that.
