What do you do/eat on Motzoei Shabbos

It takes me ages and ages to get done with the dishes. When I'm finally done, we usually drag out the leftovers and eat them, so then there are more dishes to do... Smile Alternatively, my husband will take out one of his precious, imported-from-NY pizzas (no pizza shop here) and bake it.

Rivky: Talking about your lasagna, how do u make it, whenever I try to cut the lasagna the whole thing falls apart! Any tricks?

sarahd: Finalyy s/1 who sounds like me: It also takes me AGES to do the dishes! tHEN I CAN CURL intoo bed with a good book........

I drain the cottage cheese to make sure there is no excess liquid. This has helped keep from falling apart.

Living Torah is made by JEM. IT has a sicha by the Rebbe tying into the parsha, a music section where there is footage of the Chassidim singing with the Rebbe, eye to eye which is someone having a one on one conversation with the Rebbe, and special moments of the Rebbe caught on video.

Its really nice and really well put together!

if you wait for the lasagna to cool off a bit I find it holds together better. thats if you dont mind eating cooled lasagna. if you want it piping hot then dont use cottage cheese cuz thats why it gets liquidy. I've also tried using tomato paste instead of sauce, and raw noodles instead of cooked so it should absorb the liquid, but dont do both or their wont be enough liquid to cook the noodles. (thats what I did Rolling Eyes )

We make eggs, french toast with challah that remained pareve, frozen waffles and hash browns. Only when shabbat ends early.

although this is in the Kitchen section, I'll continue this Motzoei Shabbos thread by asking you what do you wear on Motozei Shabbos?

specifically, bigdei Shabbos or do you change into weekday clothes?

I remember someone once expressed her shock to me, that she had gone to some event on Motzoei Shabbos and was taken aback because women were not dressed Shabbos'dik.

I keep wearing the same Shabbos robe I wore that day.

if I'm home I'll stay in my shobbos robe.. but if you weren't dressed all day and are going out, would you put on Shobbos clothing? But I do not go to the extreme casual side either.

SHABBOS ROBE!!!!! I am so pro robes, comfort is a necessity (thats why I make it a point to buy very pretty fancy robes that are machine washable). If I go out shabbos clothes - no suit.

Usually we give our kids supper (their very young so they go to bed early) and after cleaning up we'll have a mini melaveh malkah, though I should make a point of lighting candles.

To all of you with the Living Torah - I know I shouldn't be envious but totally am! embarrassed I've been hinting to my husband that I really like it so hopefully he'll soon take the hint.

My husband usually takes my older daughter to shull for minchah/maariv and after they watch a Rebbe video there.

If I'm going out Motzai Shabbos, I'll usually wear my Motzai Shabbos suit, which is something dressier than I wear weekdays but not as dressy as Shabbos. If I'm home, I change out of my Shabbos robe to wash dishes, because the sleeves of my robe are so wide that they keep getting into the water. Now of course, before Pesach, I clean Motzai Shabbos, so I wear work clothes.

Criss cross each layer of lasagne, One layer lengthwise then cheese, sauce, veg... The next layer of lasagne should go widthwise....the next lengthwise again...
