so instead of shmaltz im assuming I could use oil?

and thats it, just potaoes, in oil with salt and pepper ?

Oh, its a pain in the neck to cook and then fry. Might as well just fry.


Although I do love home fries. I guess I'll have to try it one day.

I boil a bunch of potatoes - like 10 lbs at a time - inmy kklippah pot. I keep them in the fridge and then use them for whatever I neeed.

we have a small fryer for pesach anyway.

good pointer, im definitly doing that..., the same with eggs. along with how many I have to make for the sedarim-- I think its 24, also for snacks, shul snacks. egg salad.. o man im gonna need like 100 cases of eggs...

I agree its too dry, but I can't imagine a single Pesach without it. all my pesach memories involve chremslach

I know s/o who does that but didn't know what it was called these cremslach latkes

anyway just thought of vinagrette did anybody say that yet

boil potatoes - do not let get mushy they must be firm
boil peeled and diced beets
add to potatoes and put in green onions (scallions) and dress with salt, pepper, garlic vinager olive oil ... I don't know what you guys eat a pickle ...

you can also make borscht from the juice ... add lemon and sugar and save some pieces for it ... if you like borscht ... anyway ... some people do and it's a very pretty color ... I just make it do not like taste ... son and ex love it!!!

we eat beet vinagrette (how do you spell that?) all Pesach long. beets, potatoes, onion, carrots. dressed with lemon juice and salt.

what's a klippah pot? ah never mind. a pot to put peels?

you know how you cant eat certain foods that are part of the seder on the first two days of pesach? like the ingredients in the charoses, maror..I forget what else.
