One thing that's been bothering me as I watch more episodes is that I find Shulem's persona unpredictable. Sometimes he's an understanding father/son/grandson, sometimes inconsiderate and shortsighted, sometimes thoughtful and other times impulsive. It keeps me from feeling like he's real.
Thanx so much for the links. Now I'm hooked😃
I've tried searching for season 1 on the list of links, but can't seem to find a site that doesn't have me create an acct...on youtube I found only the first 3 episodes of season 1
Rainbowdash, thanks so much for this link. For all that have been trying to find previous episodes, you can follow this link and search the site. I found all season 1 & 2 episodes there. Enjoy!

Look on the other shtisel thread. Someone posted links to all season 1 (with English subtitles) . I haven't finished watching yet but I didn't have to create any accounts anywhere.
Enjoy!
Yes you wrote everything was so sad and I'm happy he broke it. She just cares about herself. Seems very shallow. I wish he would have married Aliza, she's so good to him.

Yeah Aliza got married after she realized that Shulem wouldn't come around. I also think she would have been good for him but I think they were seeing each other when he was still in aveilut for his wife and he wasn't ready to process it yet. It was so sad when he called her to say he wasn't coming to work and she had to remind him that he had fired her. It was interesting that his first instinct was to call her and he wanted someone else to call Menucha for him.
That videographer really was a snake wasn't he? So low of him to take advantage of grieving people that way.
What is up with Gitty & Lipa talking Yiddish in front of their son as if he doesn't understand? Not too realistic, based on my little knowledge of the neighborhood.
I am very glad Shulem broke off with Menucha, although kedarko it was not done very properly but impulsively.
I tried google translate for 'klafta' & got 'monsastery' but I'm thinking it probably comes from kelev, anyone know?
As far as the videographer, I don't want to say such things don't happen, there are scammers everywhere. I just wonder if they made this thing up entirely or its based on something that happened.
