Thank you to everyone who replied. I have a lot to think about and consider and I feel more empowered to make the right choice for my family.

All my babies slept on their back, except for one. One DC had reflux, was colic and didn't sleep. Dc did sleep in a swing, but for safety reasons I didn't let dc sleep there overnight.
Dc did take a pacifier and I put towls UNDER the mattress, to it was on a slight incline.
I also spoke to my pediatrician about this.
Bh this worked and dc was able to sleep at night. This also meant I was no longer a zombie.
Dc slept in an empty crib until he was more active. No blanket or toys.
