Is it going to turn black? I have a silver necklace that I always wear, so obviously, also in the shower. It turned black, but I'm not sure if it's because of the water or it was only silver plated. I tried polishing it, but it's not coming clean.

DH is a jeweler, he suggested using silver polish to get rid of the tarnish. if not it could be not real silver or have too much nickel in it...

water hastens tarnishing. if you wear it in the shower all the time it'll turn black eventually. the personal care products you use may speed up the process, as can your own skin chemistry. some people's skin will make even 14K gold jewelry turn green.
