You know what _ I actually do hae a brown suit (which doesn't fit me anymore - frown) that I used to sometimes wear with a black shell.

Last year it was VERY in style to wear black and brown, black and navy, brown and navy, gray and navy, etc. This year really black is "in" but last years style just proves that you can match it. I happen to really like black and brown together regardless of it is last years style ha.
