There are a lot of great tips in the previous posts, here are a few more...

1. At each meal (or at least at dinner) serve a soup and salad and then your main dish with sides (he will eat less of the main)

2. Protein is filling and the full feeling lasts. (Try a tuna sandwich for lunch.)

3. You'd be surprised how well things "fry up" in cooking spray. Even if you have to "reapply", you will use less oil than normal.

4. Beans are also protein and are filling! (Add some chickpeas or other canned beans to a salad.)

If I think of any more, I will post again...

Definitely don't call it a diet, he won't last more than a week! Wink

I'm on my first succesful diet in years b"h and here are a few ideas/tips that have helped me.
For lunch I eat some protein (tuna, low-fat cheese) with LOTS of salad in a pita.
For supper, we almost always start with soup.
I find that adding veggies to the main course is a great way to bulk it up and feel like you are eating more. (some examples - a big chicken stir-fry, fried in spray with lots of veggies like mushroom, carrots, zucchini, broccoli, baby corn - the sky's the limit! or adding grated veggies - carrot, zucchini etc, to any chopped meat dish like meatballs, meatloaf, shepherds pie.)
It's hard going but think 'Nothing tastes better than slim feels!'
Good luck!
