The best should be Bare Minerals, but I would go to their store instead of Sephora. Sephora only carries a fraction of their full line of colors.

I LOVE Bare Minerals and have been using them now for 6 years.
Once you start with them, there is no way you can go back to regular foundation...

Can someone please educate me on mineral makeup?
I usually wear very light liquid foundation because I need coverage
for blemish spots. I understand mineral makeup is loose powder.
What do you wear underneath? Do you apply blusher, shadow etc
as usual? Does the powder get messy/or get on your clothes if you
wear dark colour? Is it more expensive than usual foundation?

Actually you can get liquid mineral makeup too and even mineral eyeshadows and bronzer... It's applied just like any other makeup, it's just better for your skin because of its ingredients.

But wasn't mineral oil not so good on your skin because it clogs up your pores?
(I could be totally wrong...)

It's made from ground minerals from the earth. Some are oil free too.

I don't love mineral makeup on every face and although it's supposed to be better for your skin, I don't think it looks great on every type of skin.

I can't say for sure because each person's skin will react differently to it, but I've seen it look bad on oily or acne prone skin even though it's marketed to prevent breakouts. Sometimes it also dries skin out and accentuates fine lines.
If somebody came to me with normal, sensitive or even a little oily or dry skin but not to drastically oily or acne prone, I'd have her try it on but if she is very acne prone or has very dry skin, I would not advise her to try it. I'm talking about the powder or pressed powder mineral foundation, by the way.

Try it. You might love it. Try Bare Minerals. I would not buy makeup online. Buy it where you can return it if it doesn't work out for you.

I used this brand. I liked it. I haven't tried any other mineral brands. I thought it covered blemishes as well as liquid foundation.

I use the mineral line from Physician's Formula - I really like it and find it works well with my hyper-sensitive skin!
