I happen to really like it but all the people I've showed it to really don't and they don't like any of the skirts I've tried it on with. So any suggestions please...

I don't know why but my image was removed above. So I'm just going to post a like to the site and I appreciate if anyone will check it out. Its at macy's:
Macy's vest and shirt
I have both the vest and the shirt

Also I want to wear it tucked out over a skirt and everybody is telling me that it is too casual a style for shabbos/yom tov. What do you think?
I wish I was good at this...

Very pretty. I'm sure any black, straight skirt would be fine.

I agree, black straight skirt, or possibly a mid-length one with a bit of a ruffle at the bottom.
Whether it's fancy enough for shabbos/YT depends on your community.

A black skirt, especially velvet, or a blue to match the blue in the shirt.

I believe that any style black skirt would go with this outfit. Although I find this particular color blouse with the vest an interesting combination, I think it could pass for Shabbos and Yom Tov – perhaps with some pearls or other jewelry.

A black skirt for shabat/YT or a jean skirt for normal days.
It is cute!

The top is interesting enough that you'll want a very plain skirt to go with it.
Like chocoholic said, both black and jeans skirt would go with it.
For holiday or Shabbat go for a simple black knee length pencil skirt. Not a-line and not ruffled. You want to look modern, nothing dated or too overwhelming.
I forgot to add, not a velvet skirt either...

I agree, not a velvet skirt, but maybe a brown skirt - there is some brown in the shirt.

That's a nice skirt and so cheap! And the perfect skirt for that top.

Thanks for all the ideas. I'm going to go through my closet now to see if I can find anything.

I'd wear a short pencil skirt with it. I would not recommend pearls or other necklace with it, the collar has enough detail. anything you wear with it should be simple, no details.

yah - I was thinking long flowy, like 5 boys mom mentioned. if you have some high heeled boots, I think it would go nice with that too

A black velvet pencil skirt would look awesome ,but to make it more formal tuck shirt in.
I love the look !
For casual sophisticated I would wear a cloche hat and a pencil denim skit with tall suede boots .
