Sorry to bump an old thread, I'm just wondering if OP could update if you ever spoke to a rav about it. I'm looking to name for someone who I need to add a name for and she was both strong and kind so I'd actually love to know more about this aspect. Or if anyone else knows. Why don't we start at where the name is actually coming from? Rivka Imeinu was chosen as Yitzchok's bride because she was a baales chesed and had a good heart. Doesn't seem obnoxious to me at all.
