is it expected to donate for a baby gift for a teacher? They are collecting for a class gift for each teacher but then a separate gift for a teacher on maternity leave.
Yes it’s standard in my kids schools. They collect $5 per kid after a teacher has a baby. I just gave for Chanuka and one of my kids teachers is due so they’ll collect again in the near future.
