Hey my name is Leah.

In my community, there’s a remarkable single mom (who is my close friend ) who truly embodies resilience and love. She’s raising a special needs son in a country where resources are scarce—there are no food stamps, Medicaid, or support programs to lean on. Her son requires constant care, making it impossible for her to work regular hours, and recently, she lost her job.

Despite these hardships, she remains one of the kindest, most giving people I’ve ever met. She’s also an incredibly talented baker. A few years ago, she won a contest and received all the tools and equipment to open her dream bake shop. But there’s one hurdle she can’t overcome on her own: she needs $15,000 to secure a space to open her bakery.

Right now, this beautiful dream is on hold. She’s struggling just to make ends meet. She’s even selling her car—the only reliable transportation for her and her son—just to put food on the table. Her son, who has unique needs, can’t manage public transportation, making this sacrifice even harder.

I recently sat with her and listened to her tears and her pain. I felt helpless, but I also realized I couldn’t sit back and do nothing. I’m determined to help her, even if it’s just by trying.

Here’s where you come in.

I know times are tough for everyone, and no one has thousands of dollars lying around. But here’s the beauty of community: a little from many can make a world of difference.

If you can donate even a small amount, it will bring us closer to giving her and her son a chance at a better life. If you can’t donate, maybe you know someone who can. A friend, a family member, or someone in your network might want to help.

Let’s work together to turn her baking talent into a thriving business and a stable future for her son. Your generosity can change their lives.

Thank you for caring and for sharing this message. Together, we can make a miracle happen.

Just gave a small donation.

OP, can you get a rabbi to put his name on this? Or if a moderator can verifiy this, people might feel more inclined to donate.
Hatzlacha to your friend! I truly hope she is able to get on stable ground financially, as well as see bracha in all areas of life.

Please do not ask people to dox themselves on the internet that is not safe

OP stated that she posted this with Yael's permission. That should be enough verification for anyone unless you want Yael to come here and post that this is verified. What else do you want from us.

Sorry I was trying to help. There have been fundraisers posted here with peoples information.
People were asking for a rav backing before they donate, it's different than yael verifying. Thats why I said what I said, wont say more because I dont want to provide any information shes not comfortable with sharing

Saying to get a rav to endorse your go fund me. Is one thing. Saying "put where you live and your last name" is wrong.

Gold idk who you are, but it's very sweet of you trying to help though I'm honestly not too comfortable putting myself out with all my details though I'll try to ask a rav to give me a recommendation letter.

Meanwhile if anyone can donate that would be amazing!!!!
