I had body image issues my whole life bc of my mom. I was skinny till I went through puberty, then was a drop chubby (like ten lbs to lose) till I was in 11th grade, then I got “better” at disordered eating and was a toothpick till I got married. That all went down the drain when I got pregnant and I’ve been 10-30 lbs overweight since then (I’ve had five kids and married fifteen years bh). I am an objectively pretty person. Other people tell me I have beautiful features and proportions, and even when I gain weight I carry it in good places mostly. I’ve struggled with diets my whole life and I’m just exhausted from the yo-yo of it. Currently I’m subsisting on a diet of noodles and cheese and candy bc I’m going through a hard time and I just can’t take more self control. But I feel like I have to hide my body, even from myself. I want to put on a big sweatshirt bc even walking around my house I don’t want to think about my tummy.
I feel horrible.
What do I do?

I can relate, aside from being skinny in my youth. I was always overweight and also wanted to hide from myself until a few months into my diet and exercise regimen. Sometimes you just gotta start taking control to get out of the rut you're in. Get exercising, stop snacking and eating the stuff you know is bad for you. It's hard but the reward is being able to look at yourself without disdain
