A while ago I realized that I feel like a different person when I wear 100% cotton tops. I'm sensory plus I get overheated, so no wool, no polyester, no acrylic, no nothing accept cotton.

(Linen is fine too, sometimes rayon, but cotton majority of the time)

During winter season, it's so hard to find 100% cotton tops. Most sweaters are made with some of the fabrics I mentioned above. I'm going from site to site, finding cute stuff, but most aren't cotton.

Anyone out there in the same boat? Have any tips?

Can you sew? It's really not hard and like that you can use the materials you want.

Never thought of that! But won't work for me. I work full time plus many nights.

Is wool okay for you? Would high quality wool with a cotton shell be comfortable?

I find if I wear a long sleeve, high neck cotton t shirt, I can put other stuff on top without going crazy.

have you tried (real) silk?
professional and breathable.

you could also look into combed cotton and/or flannel for more wintery cotton materials

How do you do with shells, soft modal or the cotton ones?
I wear a fresh shell each day with awesome open front cardigans for a great office look. (Mostly black neat looking crew neck shell and black stretch pencil skirt. I am particularly partial to knee length cardigans, though I have all types.)

wear the layer that's cotton nearest your skin then put a cardigan on top of that.

I’m just like you! I have a serious sweat problem.
Believe it or not I have found my solution to be - wearing an extra layer which is a thin modal shell. With the soft material on my skin I can wear something else on top that I normally wouldn’t be able to wear.
I buy the shells at the shell station. I have a drawer full of shells which I actually also wear in the summer under my summer tops as well.

I also need cotton. If I wear a cotton shell, I can wear a sweater over it. But only in the winter. In the summer, everything needs to be cotton
