Did she write on the application she only wants first half? And they emailed she can come second instead? Or they just said you are rejected?

I think that there are too many applicants. Also many applicants apply and then change plans. We are after all only in November. Camps should not open registration until around purim time.

Bnos had very few slots this year. Everyone knew you needed to apply the second it opened. If you waited chances are you lost your slot the half you want. Especially if you usually go 2nd half and try to apply for first half. I think they said certain grades they didn't open to new campers at all. So if a 2nd half camper applied first day of priority for first half they could have gotten in instead. She should call the head staff and office and make sure she's first on list if anything opens.

I’m sure your niece is a wonderful girl.
I would keep calling - we’re still ‘early’ and there is always movement.
Ask them if there’s a cancellation how close on the list you are to get the slot.

Malka is reopening under someone else, called Bnos Malka. In terms of bnos, I heard last year already about sisters getting in different halves. The mother called and fixed the situation. Seems like things arent always in order.

If everyone tries for the same 4 camps n there won’t be room with today’s growth. You need to go to the new ones and there are many.
As far as your niece I imagine there is more to the story. Maybe find out a little more before jumping to conclusions.

Why should return campers get kadima? Then because one girl got in in 8th grade she gets a slot till she turns staff while girl b who got rejected that year because she didn’t Have protexia should never get the opportunity because she is a new camper? Doesn’t seem very fair.

What conclusion are we jumping to ? That the camp isn't menchlich? Poster above said two sisters applied at the same time and only one got in for first half . They're playing games and they're not being menchlich. That's the whole story.

Was she perhaps friends with some girls that made trouble? This happened once to a friend of mine, even though she herself was a good girl, some of her friends did something and the next year they decided just to not take the entire friend group of like 10 girls. They somehow thought that would be better than just not taking 3 specific girls.

Malka was a relatively small camp. They are now opening as Camp bnos Malka and there is also Camp Tal opening on the old malka grounds being directed by the woman who ran camp LMP after malka closed last year.

You may try to send an email to camp manager plus all relevant persons as cc. All in correct formal English including all relevant details asking for a valid explanation.
As someone who has worked in customer service I know that any complaint in writing is usually taken better care of vs a phone call. Worth a try.
