do you do anything special for rosh chodesh? I want to make a more special connection to it but I need some ideas

When I remember and can I like to make pancakes or waffles.
Occasionally if it works out we go for pizza or falafel for lunch/supper.

Waffles for breakfast on Rosh Chodesh in our house. I make the mixture the night before and leave it in a jug in the fridge. In the morning, it doesnt take long to switch the waffle maker on and make waffles. Kids have them with syrup.
