If you wear maxi skirts in the winter what do you wear under so your legs don't get cold? If I wear tights or leggings the skirt clings to them. Any ideas?

I wear leggings and my cotton maxi skirts don't cling.

Wear a slip if your skirts cling.

Tights and a slip sometimes and sometimes spray static guard on the underside of your skirt

She wrote that they cling to her tights or leggings (= not to the body. A slip can't fix that because it's under the tights or leggings)
I know the problem - synthetic fabrics have this way of charging themselves with static electricity when one moves in them and they rub together. Then they stick together as if glued.

OP, try leggings of a smooth, slippery material. It'll be less "sticky".
Or switch to skirts that are not synthetic, like cotton or wool.
Edited to add, or use synthetic skirts that are heavy fabric and wide cut, A line type. That also can work.

With a long skirt I wear trouser socks. Between that and a longish winter coat my upper legs are usually okay. But I tend to be mostly inside all day if that makes a difference.

?

A slip is on top of the tights or leggings. It's like a skirt and you pull it on ovwr them- or a full slip goes over your bra and hangs down liek a dress. I wear them daily to keep my skirts (cotton) from aticking to my leggings. They also add an extra warmth layer.

Yes! Struggle with this too! I got a maxi slip that really helps. THe knee length slips still let the skirt cling to my tights below the knee, which makes it not lay right overall.
Also, a friend gave me a cool tip: make sure you're legs are moisterized. She said that static comes from the dry skin, and if her skirts are ever staticky she'll rub lotion on them (even over her tights if she's in a rush) and that it helps. I've tried it and it works!

Different English slang in different parts of the world, I guess LOL For me, a slip means what I suppose Anericans call panties? The piece of uderwear that's on your bottom.
