Also surprised how many don't cover in the house. Chabad here, we cover literally always. Sometimes I'll take it off for a few minutes in my own bedroom but I don't see it as ideal, just my sensory issues. Also it often slips off at night. I put it back on whenever I notice. No judgement at all interesting to see diff minhogim.

How can you sleep comfortably with a wig grip on? Isn't it tight around the head?

When I first got married I literally tried everything but no matter what I always wake up and it’s off my head, I move around a lot in my sleep. So now I go to bed with a covering on, usually a beanie, and then whenever I wake up I find it around my pillow or wherever it fell off and put it back on. So it doesn’t end up staying covered all night but I do my best

I also wear the cotton pre-tieds with the short tails. it comes with an already attached velvet grip along the rim. (bought in local hoisery store)
you see a lot off ppl wearing these while excercise/at gym.
super comfortable, slips a little while sleeping, but not too much.
and I've tried every kind and this one def is the most cool/comfy.

looks like this but has the velvet band inside rim

Do your children see you uncovered? Is your bedroom door always locked? Do you have lots of teenager sons?? Do you keep your eindow shades open to get sunlight and fresh air??

When I do have any shades open my hair is covered. I don’t have teen boys not sure if I’ll care if they see my hair but I’ll think about it when I get there. My bedroom is not always locked right now my kids see my hair.

They're my children.
No one sees inside my windows.
I don't go uncovered where people see

I use a sleep bonnet from a drug store. Lightweight and comfortable, but I do need to loosen it the elastic a bit. They’re mostly used by and aimed at African American ladies, so you might have to look online if there isn’t a community where you live.

I cover my hair in bed because it’s curly and it doesn’t get tangled up that way. Not because of tznius.

That was the first time in my life I ever heard of people not covering their hair in their house.
I wear pretieds and Israeli style.

You never realized that not everyone folloes every halacha the same way?

There is a halacha shita that in your own home, even when non related male is there, your hair does not need to be covered.
So sometimes I open with nothing and other times with a baseball cap thats right near the door.

Not everyone learns that children can see hair.
Some just uncover at home because theyve learned thats fine.

I'm yeshivish and I don't cover in bed even when niddah

During the day I cover when I am dressed. so in the morning when I'm in pajamas before I get dressed my hair is uncovered. And after my shower at night it's uncovered. This is both when niddah and not

I haven’t answered yet. For the last few years I have covered in the house, but when I didn’t I either grabbed something to cover with or pulled up my hood (or didn’t open the door)

I’m chabad. I wear a regular square bandana kind. I found that when I cut my hair (short enough to not need a ponytail) the tichels stay on very well overnight.

I usually don't bother taking it off until I'm getting ready for bed, aka pajamas. So whenever I know I'm not leaving the house again. 6pm.

I have kids under the age of 7 so I'm sure this may change as they get a older, but who comes to your door uninvited at 7pm?
