There's been alot of threads about jewish clothing stores and return policies. ( Some I agree with and some I don't.) But I wanted to post a positive review Smile
Erev y"t I went to dimensions and tried on a dress, I liked it and it fit so they ordered another color for me from a different store. ( I bought both) It was on sale and final sale and I knew that.
On y"t I wanted to wear the other color but when I tried it on it did not fit at all. It had to be mislabeled.
The original one I tried on fit well.
I only came back from where I was for y"t yesterday, I went to the store today and told her than the one I ordered didn't fit the same, and I said I'll try them on for you. she said it's ok, let me call the other store and see what they say. So She called other store and told them what happened and she said sure no problem I can get store credit!!
I was soo thankful and really appreciative. She did not give me any issues. So thank you!!

Store credit for something that was mislabeled on their end? It should be a refund.

Maybe it was a buy 1 get 1 free, I know dimensions runs those sometimes.

I'll shoutout to them as well.
I once went in to them after my Due date to get a new outfit/dress for a close simcha the next night.
They had buy one get one sale and usually it would be final sale.
She was super nice and told me that if I go into labor and don't need the dress at the end I can send s/o to return it.
I ended up wearing it lol but it made me feel so much better knowing I didn't just spend money and I might not even need it.

Wow, both those stories are so nice and I would not expect a frum store to be so accommodating

Def. But she was supposed to inspect/ check it out before she left the store. It's common knowledge. If had mislabeled things in many stores, jewish and non jewish. Online they will take it back no questions asked. But if you picked up from store, check it out before you leave the shop. It will avoid so much agmas nefesh.

And op, I do agree. I always liked shipping in that store. It's always a very wholesome experience. And I tend to really enjoy the stuff I buy there!

Not to belabor the point but the color that was mislabeled wasn't actually in the store for her to try on.

I think we're all so conditioned to insane frum store policies that some of you think this was good on part of the store. Just something to think about.

I actually bought 1 in store and they ordered the other color from another store and it was officially the same size so I didn't think I needed to try it on when I went to pick it up.
I know how complicated and "strict" stores are with their policies and I wasn't even expecting store credit, I wentbto try my luck. when she said store credit I just said thanks, I'll take it. I wasn't going to start arguing for money back.
I was thankful I got something. I'll be back there, as my pregnancy moves along iy"h.
But yes, technically money back is always best.

Right, as I said below lol.
But I was thankful, as I know stores can give a hard time with even offering store credit.

See her next post, she did go in to pick it up. Had it been shipped, then I'm pretty sure they'd offer money back right away.

All these threads about bad return policies....
My close relative owns a company/store. They actually have a relatively good return policy. (3 days cash back. 2 week exchange even on sale items.) But the stuff people come up with.... I don't blame the stores for their return policy.

If you buy an item, it is your responsibility to inspect it before you pay / leave the shop with it.
The store has quality control protocol. But stuff still happens.

It was a final sale item. Final sale is usually sold "as is", even in non-jewish stores.
And this was at least 2 weeks after purchase, so even if it was a regular price purchase, it was likely passed the return window.
So all in all, I think you did well with a store credit.
