Hi everyone!
I know this has been discussed multiple times but I would love some info
I recently became a manager in a small property management office in Lakewood (about 5 employees)
Until now I was employed- by the same office as a secretary, doing administrative work for 5 years and slowly slowly getting raised yr by yr
Im currently at 50k working 24 hrs a week
No benefits at all
I got a measly 5k raise when they "promoted" me to manager
I would like to approach them for a significant raise
How much can I ask for?
If they would need to hire an outside manager it would cost them minimum 75k for that title alone
I know im valued at the office and I dont think they would want me to leave

When did they give you the $5k raise?
You can just be matter of fact and let them know the comparable salaries in Lakewood, obviously with respect and appreciation for the company and where you are now with them

Ive been manager for 3 months now
They gave me the raise the
They do general raises January only
Im planning to discuss this with them at the years end review

I work 27.5 hours a week and make 75k, in Brooklyn, as an office manager.
I believe Lakewood pay is higher.
You should definitely mention that bringing in an outside manager would be 75k and you would like to get a raise.
