Pls inspire the rest of us how we can stay on track with all our “promises” to Hashem post Yom Kippur.
My issue is I don’t really know if certain things are assur or not so the gray areas are where I get stuck. I think yiras shamayim is refraining when things are gray or calling a rov for clarity.
What helps YOU have yiras shamayim… picturing Hashem cares and watches….?? (I don’t mean punitive—I mean awareness of Divine providence in all tests and situations)…

I think you're asking a really important question, OP.
There are probably many ways to acquire yiras Shomayim.
Remembering "shivisi Hashem l'negdi samid". Remembering that our actions matter, and are recorded, etc.
But realize that the flipside of yiras shomayim is Ahavas Hashem.
A person can come closer to Hashem through fear, or through love.
Ahavas Hashem is knowing that we are in a relationship with Hashem, and when we do something against His will, we are, in effect, betraying our Beloved, and hurting the relationship.
Doing Teshuva from ahava is where you want to become better because you are in love with Hashem, and not because you are afraid of being punished. Just as you wouldn't want to jeopardize the relationship with anyone you love.
I think that focusing on how intensely Hashem loves me personally, and how lucky I am to have Him in my life can help a person take positive steps in becoming a better Jew.

Yiras shamayim holistic approach
Keep good friends who influence you positively
Have someone you answer to
Have someone you feel comfortable asking questions to
Listen to music that connects to your neshama
Reading about our tzadikim instills YSH
This one is so important: learn about the mitzvos and how they create connection to Hashem.
Make tiny changes
It’s a work in progress and
You’ve got this!

Personally, what keeps me on track is continuing to learn and be inspired.
Everyone is super into self-care and me time these days, but we need to remember that our neshama/spirituality needs attention too. Today, with so many English books/sefarim on bitachon and avodas Hashem, and hundreds of thousands of shiurim literally on our fingertips, there are no excuses. I really feel a difference in my yiras Hashem and general awareness of my avodas Hashem when I'm keeping myself inspired. And yes, I know everyone is crazy busy these days, especially this time of year, but it's not that hard to find a few minutes each day, or even just on Shabbos, to learn a few pages out of an English bitachon sefer. You can also download a bunch of shiurim and listen to them whenever you can, like when you're in the car, working out, cooking for YT or just doing housework.
Hope this helps!

Learning Halacha. It doesn't have to be overwhelming, it could be a page a week at the Shabbos table. If you can listen to or attend a weekly shiur, even better. But that keeps the perspective center in your mind. It gives you the right attitude. You begin to see things through the lens of mutar/assur.
Also, calling to ask shailos even when you feel like you could just skip it by being machmir. The more you call, the easier it gets.

Spiritual care is self-care. I want to frame that.
It's so true. Self-care isn't about decadence, it's about doing the things that will build you up and give you strength. And building yourself spiritually is absolutely a piece of that.
