I am not majorly overweight. My BMI is to the higher side. I would like to try OA for weight loss, I need to lose 30 pounds from having a few kids.
What was your experience like?
Does it work if I use it for the weight loss part and not necessarily the emotional program?
How soon did you lose?
Did you keep the weight off If you went off and ate healthily after?
How long did it take you to lose The last 30 pounds?

OA can work regardless of the amount of weight one wants to lose. However, using it only as a food plan and ignoring the rest of the program is treating it like another diet, and the success will last accordingly. OA is effective because of the steps and tools it has the get to the root of things.
In other words, if you keep doing variations of what you always did, you will get what you always got.
That being said, if you identify as wanting to overcome food addiction or compulsive overeating you are more than welcome in the rooms. Come with an open mind to to the full program, listen for stories and recovery that resonate with you, and you may find your solution! Wishing you much hatzlacha in finding the answer for you
